Using your formula, we ensure your ingredients and allergens are properly listed using Canadian nomenclature, in proper order as well as with the correct layout, including both official languages.
Canadian ingredient terminology is strictly regulated, some ingredients have different ways of being listed. The correct wording must be used in ingredients and allergens. For example, “high fructose corn syrup” in Canada is listed as “Glucose-fructose”. Artificial food colour needs to be named such as “Allura red”, also known as FD&C red #40.
Allergens are, as in most countries, rigorously legislated. Allergens are one of the main reasons for recalls in Canada, we want to ensure that your products are never recalled due to improperly listed allergens.
Canadian allergens differ from other countries, we work with you, your team and even your suppliers to ensure the allergens are properly captured and listed.
